Mary Beth Hudson

Vice President, Wacker Polysilicon

Mary Beth Hudson is the Vice President and site manager of the Wacker Chemie’s
Polysilicon Division located in Charleston, Tennessee. The facility produces hyper-pure polysilicon for use in electronic and solar wafers.

She received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky and in 1989 began her career in manufacturing as a process engineer at Air Products and Chemicals in Calvert City, Kentucky. When the company and Wacker Chemie formed joint ventures in 1998, she joined Wacker as plant manager of the Calvert City Dispersible Polymer Powders operations and by 2008 she assumed responsibility for both the Powders and Dispersions Polymer operations for North America.

When Wacker opened its new polysilicon manufacturing facility in Charleston, Tennessee in 2016, Hudson was tapped to lead the company’s Polysilicon Division as Vice President and manager of the Charleston site. In that role, she is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, business operations, sales, and profitability of the Polysilicon Division throughout the North and Central American region.
